Bob earned his masters in Public Administration before deciding to go into education as a 2002 Teach for America corps member now entering his 13th year in education. He taught 5th and 1st grade in the South Bronx and Kindergarten in Harlem.
During this time he also obtained a Masters of Science in Teaching and a Masters in School Leadership at Pace University. He used these experiences to co-found TALES, become its founding literacy specialist and was the Assistant Principal before becoming the Principal. This is Bob’s 9th year as principal and is very excited to continue growing with TALES. In his off time, Bob enjoys running, biking and triathlons. |

I graduated from Columbia University and earned my Masters in Teaching and Administration at Pace University. I am entering my 12th year in education! Time has flown. Prior to becoming AP at TALES, I taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, and Science in Washington Heights and Harlem, and Kindergarten at TALES.
I reside in Brooklyn with the loves of my life—my hubby and two daughters. You can find us up at the crack of dawn (my daughters think 7:00 am is sleeping in on a weekend). I enjoy seeing the world through my daughters’ eyes and as a family, we are always on the go. I love good food, traveling, and thrift stores. I think I like the idea of camping under the stars too, but realized from a recent summer vacation that I do not like bugs as much as when I was a kid. I recently started yoga so please tell me when I am slouching to lengthen. |
